Future Fellowships
are open to outstanding mid-career scientists who
conduct research in areas of critical national
importance. Applicants must have between 5 to 15
years research experience since the award of their
PhD or equivalent qualification. Successful
applicants are generally oustanding scientists who
are recognised nationally and internationally as
being influential in expanding the knowledge of
their discipline area.
Future Fellowships are awarded in 3 levels of
increasing seniority.
Cross-scheme eligibility
with NHMRC Fellowships:
As stated in the
ARC Future Fellowships 2012 Funding Rules,
researchers cannot apply for an ARC Future
Fellowship in conjunction with an NHMRC Research
Fellowship or Career Development Fellowship for
funding commencing in 2012 or 2013.

| Application process |
Applicants should
read the application documentation below prior to
commencing their Future Fellowship application.
- Log in to
RMS and
update your Personal Details. New users to RMS should submit
a 'New User Request'.
- Commence a new application by clicking on
'Create Draft Proposal' and select 'FT11 round
1'.
- Enter a Proposal name and click 'Create
Proposal' to create a draft. A Proposal ID will
automatically be generated.
- Complete sections A to K.
- When the application is ready for Research
Office administrative review and feedback,
generate a whole Proposal document PDF. Notify the Research Office via
email, quoting the proposal ID number.
