Reporting requirements
Progress (annually) and Final Reports are required by most
funding bodies under the conditions of award.At least four weeks in advance of the
funding bodie's deadline, the Research Office (or in some cases,
the funding body) will alert CIs by email when a Progress or
Final report is required. The first-named CI is responsible for
providing all Progress and Final reports in accordance with the
funding body's stated due dates, and in the format required.

Varying or transferring a grant
Circumstances may change after acceptance of a grant. If you
need to modify your original research proposal, change chief
investigators, request a carry forward of funds
(in the last year
or in other years) or transfer a grant to or from an institution within Australia,

Direct Research Costs
For NHMRC funding purposes, Direct Research Costs are costs
that are integral to achieving the approved research

Attribution of funding source in research publications
It is a condition of receipt of research funding that the
funding source be acknlowedged in any resulting publication.
Most funding bodies have very specific wording requirements for
attribution of funding source.
Victorian Government Operational Infrastructure
Support Program
It is a requirement of the funding agreement with the
Victorian government that the institute will acknowledge receipt
of operational infrastructure support in all peer-reviewed
publications arising from the institute's research activities.
The specific acknowledgement is to read "Supported in
part by the Victorian Government's OIS Program.".
