12 April 2017: Draft PDF version of application emailed to Research Office for compliance review and feedback. *when the application is ready for compliance review, DO NOT choose 'confirm'. Instead, choose 'print this page' and save as PDF*
19 April 2017: Final version of application submitted to Research Office for endorsement and final submission. *do not submit the application until you have received feedback and have been advised to do so by the Research Office* Completed Endorsement Forms must be sent to the Research Office prior to submission
27 April 2017: Heart Foundation closing date

Key changes to 2017 application process

  • Applications are now submitted via an online application process.
  • Applicants are required to collect following endorsements prior to submission:
    • 2 referees
    • Supervisor
    • Head of Department

Scheme description

To support early-career cardiovascular researchers, who are less than three years post PhD as of 21 April 2017, develop research skills and independence. Applicants may be working in any area of cardiovascular research, including biomedical, clinical, public health and health service delivery. These two-year Fellowships provide a stipend of $75,000 p.a.

Eligibility

  • Applicants must be an Australian citizen, permanent resident or a New Zealand citizen.
  • As of 21 April 2017, applicants must be less than 3 years post PhD.
