Scheme description

Health Professional Scholarships support cardiovascular health professionals to undertake a PhD.

While they are designed to encourage established health professionals to become active in research, recently graduated health professionals are also eligible.

Applicants will be encouraged to continue their cardiovascular health practice during their PhD.

Priority funding will be provided to health delivery professionals (including allied health professionals and health service managers) working in cardiovascular health care.

Applicants must undertake a PhD in cardiovascular research and are strongly encouraged to continue a clinical engagement at a minimum of 0.2FTE.

Only those applicants who have yet to commence their PhD or who have completed less than 12 months of work (at 1.0 FTE) towards their PhD at the time of application are eligible to apply.
